Tusenfryd is Norway’s biggest amusement park and offers speed and excitement with over 30 different attractions suitable for people in all ages. The park has several rollercoasters, carousels, radio cars, a water park, several eateries, and much, much more. Tusenfryd is located 30 minutes from downtown Oslo, with a bus to the park departing from the Oslo bus terminal all day long.
Fjord-sightseeing
A guided fjord cruise around the Oslo fjord allows you to explore the fjords up close. Fjord-sightseeing is a two-hour guided fjord cruise travelling through islands and warm coves. During the tour you will get an idyllic experience while spotting several attractions, summer houses, cabins and beaches. The boat also passes the opera house in Bjørvika and the museums at Bygdøy. Tøyenbadet is Norway’s most popular swimming facilities, with both indoor and outdoor pools, a diving tower and waterslide. The facility is open all year around, and in the summer, the outdoor pools can be enjoyed in the sun. Enjoy a lovely, chilling bath in the summer heat, play around, or just turn it into a workout. At the facility you can also enjoy the steaming sauna and buy yourself something good to eat in the café or kiosk. Tøyenbadet are located in Helgesens street at Tøyen.
Long summer days at Sørenga
There’s nothing like enjoying a chilling salt water bath in the Oslo fjord on hot summer days. At the edge of Sørenga there is a big ocean area with a beach, pools and a diving tower. Choose between lying on the pier or beach next to the water, or on the grass area further up. The area also has a harbor promenade. Find cafés, restaurants, shops and beautiful outdoor areas along the water. Everything you need to enjoy a summer day from morning to evening are located at Sørenga.
