Island Hopping in the Oslo fjord

The Oslo fjord have several islands that offers great experiences. Spend a sunny day island hopping between Hovedøya, Lindøya, Nakholmen, Bleikøya, Gressholmen and Langøyene. Explore the Oslo fjord life, just by using your ordinary Ruter-ticket for transport. The Ruter-boat travels between all the islands all day long. Each island has different opportunities, where you can go bathing in the ocean at the beaches, get some cultural refill, play different ball games, eat food at eateries or bring your own food for a nice barbecue.

Swimming and playing at Frognerbadet

The large and popular outdoor pool, Frognerbadet, has a 50-meter pool, a children’s pool, a splash pool, a water slide and a diving tower. The pool is open from mid-May to mid-September, and is a perfect outdoor facility to enjoy in the sun on nice days. Enjoy a nice swim in the summer heat, play around, or turn it all into a workout. The area also has both a café and kiosk where you can buy something good to eat and drink, as well as cloakrooms with lockable lockers, so you can safely store your things while you enjoy the day. Long summer days at Sørenga

There’s nothing like enjoying a chilling salt water bath in the Oslo fjord on hot summer days. At the edge of Sørenga there is a big ocean area with a beach, pools and a diving tower. Choose between lying on the pier or beach next to the water, or on the grass area further up. The area also has a harbor promenade. Find cafés, restaurants, shops and beautiful outdoor areas along the water. Everything you need to enjoy a summer day from morning to evening are located at Sørenga.

Adrenaline at Tusenfryd

Norway’s largest amusement park, Tusenfryd, can be found only 30 minutes from the center of Oslo, and is suitable for both young and old. The park offers speed and excitement with over 30 different attractions, such as roller coasters, carousels, radio cars and much more. The park also has a swimming park and a number of eating and serving places. For those who do not have their own car, there is a bus from Oslo bus terminal to the amusement park, all day.

A sea of ​​possibilities
