Oslo\u2019s most popular toboggan run will give butterflies to most people, no matter age. The toboggan run is about 2000 meters long, with a drop of 255 meters. It starts from Frognerseteren station and ends at Midtstuen station. The trip from start to finish lasts for about 8-10 minutes without making any stops on the way down. If you wish to go down the toboggan run more than once, you can take the metro from Midtstuen and up to Frognerseteren again. It is free of charge and open to all ages. If you don\u2019t have your own toboggan, you can also rent equipment for 100-150 NOK at the top.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

Oslo Winter Park<\/a>\u00a0are the biggest ski resort in Oslo, with 11 ski lifts and 18 slopes. The resort has slopes suitable for all preferences and skill levels. If you need to rent equipment, you can also do that here. The resort also offers ski school for beginners and caf\u00e9s that are perfect for breaks with a bite to eat and something to drink. The season usually lasts from November, until the end of Easter, based on the amount of snow.<\/p>

From downtown Oslo to the winter park, it takes about 30 minutes with a car, and about 50 minutes with the public transport. Take metro number 1 in direction to Frognerseteren, and depart on Voksekollen.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

In the winter,\u00a0Spikersuppa<\/a>\u00a0who is located between Stortinget and Nationaltheatret, are turned in to an ice-skating rink. It is free of charge to use the rink, and it is usually available for skating every day between November and March. Bring your own skates or rent for 100 NOK in the pavilion next to the rink. Around Christmas time, the area around Spikersuppa also turns in to a Christmas market, which makes the ice-skating extra cozy.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

By going just outside downtown Oslo, you will find about 2\u00a0600 kilometers of groomed cross-country trails in the beautiful Norwegian nature. You can go here, even if you wish to go on an idyllic trip in the forest, or if you want to go there for a workout. Along the trails, there are several eateries where you can take a break with something to eat and drink. The trail is well signed, but we still recommend you bring a map from the Norwegian Trekking Association or from a book store if you wish to move further into the smaller trails.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t
